The Fortunes HOLLAND theatre tour
Just got back from a three week, fifteen date theatre tour of Holland, and whilst tiring, it was a fantastic experience. Audiences were excellent considering it had been well over a decade since The Fortunes had toured the country. Our sincere thanks go out to the wonderful folk who ventured out on cold and snowy January nights, and of course the theatre staff, who fed and looked after us in all theatres we performed in.
We really look forward to repeating the experience again next year, and possibly, performing in clubs and festivals all over The Netherlands this coming summer.
The Fortunes 60 years live CD
The new Fortunes CD "Sixty Years Live" is released this coming Friday. It is the final live Fortunes album and has 19 tracks from the "Step into the Sixties" concert dates plus the three studio singles, "Hello My Friend", "Never Too Far" and the current Heritage Chart Hit "One Special Moment (US Remix)". Using the latest production technology, this is the best live Fortunes album to date.
It will be a limited edition available (here) or at our theatre shows. Once they're gone, they're gone!
The Fortunes theatre tour
January of 2024 sees The Fortunes embarking on a huge theatre tour of Holland. From the 8th through to the 31st (dates to be added in the coming year) we will be performing in cities and towns all across the country. The last theatre tour of Holland we performed on was with The Tremeloes and The Buffoons in 2003!
Whilst we don't want to wish our lives away too quickly........I can say we are very much looking forward to this!
The Fortunes new single!
April 15th sees our new single release, "Hello My Friend" which is a sequel to "You've Got Your Troubles" released not only here in The UK and Europe, but in The United States too. The idea behind the song is about the two guys in 'Troubles' meeting up again after many years.........
We have recently teamed up with Mr Freddy Cannon in Nashville who is looking after our release 'across the pond'. Fred is known as 'The Music Man' at Creative and Dreams and the name suits him well.
For more than forty years, Freddy has worked in various roles in the music industry as a musician, music producer, radio DJ, songwriter, lecturer, marketing and promotion consultant, A&R expert, music publisher, music lobbyist, music business historian, artist development mentor and government relations professional! NEW DATES IN HOLLAND & BELGIUM
It's been quite some time since The Fortunes performed in Holland, but I'm happy to announce that we've just agreed to work in conjunction with our old friend Jos Boekhout at 'Golden Music Events' and a new agency, who have so far put in three shows in Holland, and one in Belgium. We're hoping that there will be a lot more to come in the future. More info on these dates below will be shown on the 'Performance' page, when we get it......

During the covid lockdown, we decided to put our time to good use and write some new material for a publicity CD for when we got back to touring. We were quite pleased with our initial results, and decided to approach a few DJ's around the world, to see what the reaction was. On the strength of airplay by the DJ's alone, we went straight into three different charts in the top twenties!
